I grew up in Marysville. I remember when the Walter E. Hall skatepark, Casino, was built. It was a big deal, before that all I knew about was a park in White Rock, some ramps in Mt. Vernon, and the Kent skatepark. No idea why it was those three, but this was before the internet gave everyone infinite knowledge, you were glad for any information you could get. So, comparatively, Casino was pretty close to home.
The locals were fucking good. Josh Jones, Gnardo, Chris Kirkman, others. Three of those local rippers were the Taylor brothers. Taylor, Thomas, and Joe. Each of them had their own style, but they all killed it. It was kind of weird, because I also have two brothers who skate, so seeing them was like seeing a bizarro Everett version of my own life. Except they were switch flipping into stuff and none of us could even backside tailslide. Not that I ever said anything to them about it, we were bitter rivals after all, what with being from different towns that were close to each other. You kids wouldn’t understand.
Taylor kept ripping and now he kills it behind a microphone too, telling jokes about skating, scooters, going bald, being a dad. He recently wrapped up a tour at skate shops all over the country. He even did a show at our shop! It was pretty fucking cool. Almost as notable, he got a feature in Thrasher as well. So I guess he’s doing pretty good. He’s gonna be at Club Comedy in Seattle on September 23rd and 24th. Go. I’ll find out if you don’t.
Anyway, here’s his JTF. Thanks Taylor!

My current obsession is: Healing my shoulder. I have resistance bands in every room of my house. Even kinky heroin addicts don’t have this much colorful rubber in their home.
If I could change one thing about the world it would be: Everyone would be treated equally, everything would be equitable, and I would have the most popular YouTube Channel. That’s all one thing right?
Choose one: Being able to fly or being able to read minds: Being able to fly. More spots less drama.
Whoever is reading this should try: Helping create a world of equity after subscribing to my YouTube. I really need to grow this channel.
For my next trick I will: get rich on YouTube.
I give my thanks to: My wife and son. They will remain nameless. When I get to 19k YouTube Subscribers I will announce their identities. Like and subscribe!
